AMA NATIONAL HARE + HOUND COVID-19 RACER AND SPECTATOR GUIDELINES

Nevada has been watching the off-road racing community and its events to ensure it is not only a safe event, but also to make sure there is minimum exposure between racers and spectators. We respectfully ask that racers put their personal beliefs, theories, and political stances aside in order to follow the following guidelines so we can continue to have future off-road racing events!

Registration

  • Please utilize ONLINE REGISTRATION to minimize in person contact while in registration.
  • While in line at registration please maintain a 6 foot distance between other people in line.

Camping & Pit Row

  • Please park a minimum of 6-feet between other campers and competitors parked on pit row.
  • Please practice social distancing and wear a mask when you are not in your campsites.

Start Line

  • Please practice social distancing with other competitors and racer crew members while at the start line.
  • It is recommended that if you are not wearing a helmet at the start line that you wear a mask.

Finish Line

We understand that this is one of the more exciting areas for spectators at the race, but it is asked that spectators maintain 6-feet of distance between other spectators.

  • Racers who are finishing are asked to immediately head back to their camp or parking spots after receiving their finisher pins.

Podium

  • Racers will be asked to stand on the appropriate place markers that are placed on the podium.
  • Winners will be interviewed during the post race interviews, 2nd and 3rd place racers will be asked to stand apart and to stay for a podium photo. Microphones will be cleaned in between each racer interview.
  • Spectators please maintain a 6-foot distance between other spectators while watching post race interviews.

If you are in a high-risk category with pre-existing medical conditions, please do not attend this event. Stay safe for you and your family, and come out when it is safer to do so. If you are suffering from high fever, coughs, shortness of breath or feel sick- stay home. Do not risk your friends, family, peers and ultimately our sport. There WILL be another race.
