RACE REFEREE AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Race Referee:

  • Each Club MUST provide a certified AMA Referee. To become a Race Referee, please see below for Referee Training, Reports and Information.
  • Start the process of becoming a trained AMA referee With AMA Class C Referee Training. AMA Class C Referee Training provides the foundation for the AMA’s referee program. First, download the Class C Referee Study Guide to review (once it opens, make sure you save it to your computer for reference later), and then click here to take the online test. If you pass, you’ll receive an AMA Class C Referee certificate. Those who have completed AMA Class C Referee Training are invited to participate in AMA Class B Referee Training, which covers discipline-specific topics.
  • To learn more about the AMA Class B Referee Training, click here: Off-road: Class B Study Guide (Off-Road) | Online test
  • For the Referee Report and Injury Forms, see below:

Risk Management:

  • Workshops: AMA-chartered clubs and promoters must complete an AMA Risk Management Workshop every year. To ensure AMA sanction eligibility, organizers are encouraged to turn in the Affidavit of Review with their annual charter application. This requirement can be met by viewing a series of online risk management videos and returning a signed Affidavit of Review to the AMA.
