Dirt Inc
Years hosting National Hare & Hound events: 10+
DIRT Inc. was started in 1975 by a group of friendly motorcyclists from the Treasure Valley of Idaho, their first race was the “DIRT 100” held in 1976, in the Owyhee Desert near Murphy Idaho. The winner of the event was 17 year old Ron Dillon. Fast forward 38 years and the club is alive and strong today, still promoting National Hare & Hounds, promoting annual fund raiser events, volunteering in cleanup efforts in the Owyhee Desert and supporting other local clubs. For 25 of the past 48 years the club has been led by the infamous “Wild Bill Walsh”, he and his DIRT crew are a well know organization here in the West. The club is very focused on promoting a fun, safe and well organized event for all members of the family, growing the organization with new members and of course having a great time doing it all!

Co-Sanctioned Organization:
Formed in 1977, SIDRA (Southwestern Idaho Desert Racing Association) is a non profit organization that administrates a season points championship. Our great group of volunteers strive to help local clubs put on fun, challenging, family friendly desert races. Their races provide a exciting challenge for all age groups and skill levels.
SIDRA is Southern Idaho’s premiere AMA sanctioned body for desert, grand prix, enduro and motocross racing. The official SIDRA website is https://sidraracing.org/
The Terrain
Racers of the Dirt Inc Rabbit Creek 100 can expect an abundance of single track, cow trails, elevation changes, technical sections and flowing sand washes. The region typically sees an abundance of moisture, possibly even snow, leading up to the event, but riders can expect dust if there is no rain fall.
Terrain In The Area
The Owyhee Front is a popular area offering a wide range of off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails including single-track for OHV motorcycles and wider trails and two-tracks for ATVs and other motorized vehicles. This trail system including Hemingway Butte, Fossil Creek and Rabbit Creek OHV trailheads features access to hundreds of miles of roads, moderate to difficult trails and sand washes on steep, rocky terrain. These trailheads also provide loading ramps, staging areas and rest
rooms. Cross-country travel is only allowed in the 200 acre area immediate adjacent to the Hemingway Butte OHV Trailhead. Otherwise, please do not travel cross-country in this area. The Murphy Travel Management Plan has established areas where OHV is limited to designated routes.
