The AMA Regional West Hare Scramble Championship Series

If you’re familiar with the Grand National Hare Scramble championship-style racing, we’re about as close as you can get to one on the West coast. Hare Scramble racing is the perfect platform for a new or experienced rider to discover off-road motorcycle racing or build their skills on somewhat defined off-road terrain. Racers can take on a true off-road race without having to venture out too far from camp, and like our sister series (National Hare and Hound), these events test man and machine in a real off-road environment.

True to tradition, all riders in a single class start on the same row, and the event is an all-out race to the finish. They are conducted on several-mile-long marked courses through woods or desert and over rugged natural terrain. Competitive riders not only need to be fast, but also physically fit enough to maintain a race pace for hours. Hare Scramble racing isn’t for the weak, and it’s proving ground for riders looking for a challenge.

From 4-to 70-year old’s, we offer a class for every age and every skill level. We’re a breed of our own; an authentic off-road racing series that offers a modern take on a historic style of off-road racing. Off-road motorcycles, the great outdoors and a community full of camaraderie are what we’re all about.

In parallel to the Hare and Hound championship, the NHHA also holds the promotional rights to the regional AMA National Hare and Hound Championship.
